Puntos Fuertes: Cute characters
Puntos Débiles: Not as good as "Fore"
I decided to purchase this one because Hot Shot Golf Fore is so much fun!! The graphics of this previous version is as good as Fore, but most of other parts in the game are the same (even the courses). Some obvious differences are: No easy mode; the flag of the hole is not shown on the meter if not on the green. I would like to unlock all the players since some of them are not in Fore. If you...
Puntos Fuertes: Cool players, fun game
Puntos Débiles: Short and repetitive
Hot Shots Golf 3 is a fun game. You run around playing golf trying to beat the CPU. Not much more to it. The controls are fairly simple and the gameplay can be comical at times. I've found my biggest problem with this game is that after you play through a couple of games, you get bored of it quickly as you find yourself doing the same thing over and over again. Definately a fun game to rent, but...
Puntos Fuertes: Numerous playable characters, good graphics, funny commentary, some realism
Puntos Débiles: Non-analog controls for golf swing, not a golf sim
Hot Shots Golf Three is part arcade golf game, part golf sim. It plays mostly like an arcade golf game, though there are some realism elements to it, though with the older, non-analog swing method of making the golf swing. There are a number of amusing characters in the game, all rendered well. The other visuals are pretty good looking. For the sim golf fan who wants analog controls, this isn't...
Puntos Fuertes: easy learning curve, good control, humourous moments, variety of golfers/clubs/balls, simple fun, great party game
Puntos Débiles: not a simulation, CPU golfers can be unbeatable at times, can vary in difficulty from impossible to laughable
This is a perfect game to pick up for an hour or two. There is no deep story and the learning curve is very easy. Those familar with the previous Hot Shots games will find the same principles here with cartoonish graphics and precise game play. Sometimes the computer will birdie or eagle every hole even under extreme conditions, making it near impossible to win. At times the computer seems...
Puntos Fuertes: Good controls and lots of humor
Puntos Débiles: Too difficult at times, bland characters.
Hot Shots 3 is a well done arcade golf simulation and will appeal to most people. It never takes itself seriously, the controls are easy to use and the graphics are well done. The biggest drawback is probably the characters designs themselves. I find the characters generic and often too silly. However, the game is so much fun that it is great to play.
Puntos Fuertes: Arcadeness golf - good cartoony characters - humor
Puntos Débiles: Repetitive - CPU can be crazy difficult
I haven't played many golf games myself, so I can't give a comparison to other titles. However, I do own the PSP version of Hot Shots and they are very similar. This is a fun game - has an arcade feel. The characters are fun to watch and listen to. My only caveat of the game is that the computer player can be crazy good. Unreal in its accuracy, that unless you pull off the PERFECT shot, you...
Puntos Fuertes: Lots of modes & extras, good party game
Puntos Débiles: not much different from other Hot Shots Golf games
Hot Shots Golf 3 is the first Hots Golf game to hit the PS2. Hot Shots Golf is an arcade style golf & isn't a simulation type golf game. The game has fictional cartoon characters but does a good job of putting all of the elements of golf into the gameplay non-the-less though. The swings are determined by 3 timed taps like alot of golf games (especially older ones from before the times of analog...

Hot Shots Golf is back on the PS2 with its animated trademark big-head cartoon characters and simple-yet-realistic golf physics. The third release of the series manages to successfully transfer the intricacies and nuances of the series onto a new architecture. HSG3 boasts top quality golfing dynamics and couples it with a fun, off-kilter presentation. Where most simulation-golf games would not...

The question with Hot Shots at this point is whether it's going all that far. Most years, this question would not come up at all, given that video golf gameplay has remained roughly constant for around two decades. Hot Shots 3 happens to be following the excellent Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2002 this year, though, which continues to establish its analog swing system as a superior innovation in golf...

Great golfing fun on the ps2
Puntos Fuertes: Great graphics and fun gameplay.
Puntos Débiles: Some shots are overly difficult at times
It took me a little while to get used to the swing controls as the meter goes a little fast and it can sometimes be a difficult to get a straight swing. The characters are a bit whacky but it is more interesting than the more serious golf games out there. The character animations are funny at first but can get repetative. Overall, I would say the gameplay is very good. The camera always seems to...
