Puntos Fuertes: it was not meant for the Vista system out of the box - but the upgrade link was available to get the required version
It is a good product & saved me some cash. As I said above initially I thought the product would not work for me as I wanted it for the Vista system. But on checking further I found out that I could download the upgraded version which works for me

I got this at Office Depot today for free after rebate ($35). It is a bargain, which is why I picked this over the Norton Virus software. I think it is as good as Norton for such a great price. But, if you are always in danger for computer viruses and spams. I suggest you to get for McAfee Total Protection, which is even better. But for this price, I guess there is no question why I buy this over...

Puntos Fuertes: very easy installation for a beginner like me who isn't that confident about computers.
Puntos Débiles: does seem to slow down the speed of my laptop as it reboots each time I turn the computer on.
I would definitely consider buying the product for other computers. I bought this with the intention that it will keep my computer virus free and is a better reliable product than Norton Anti-virus. For the price, it is a good product and has kept my laptop virus free.

I have used Mcafee virus software for 3 years and this year was an upgrade as well. The install is a no pain install. Once you install you do not have to do any thing manually. Every this is set to protect your computer. I have had very good experience with Mcafee products and will continue buying them

This is an adequate anti-virus program if you are accustomed to big name brands. It will make you feel safe and most likely keep you safe as well, with firewall and anti-spyware bundled together as well. The problem with McAfee is that it has become bloated over the years in the same fashion although not quite to the same extent as the Norton series of products. Some lighter, faster alternative...

Its easy to use for the average user, and slightly better than not having any virus protection & firewall, but not by much. I found the cowbell sound with the popup alerts to be annoying. Its too resource intensive for the machine I put it, so I had to uninstall it. My recommendation is to look elsewhere for a decent a/v program.

I have been using McAfee for several years and I am used to it. This version seems to be a bit slower than the previous one, but it still better than Norton, in my opinion. It installs smoothly and requires no special knowledge from the user to configure and get it running.

Actually, the McAfee VirusScan Plus 2007 is a bundle includes antivirus, anti-spyware, anti-phishing and a personal firewall. It is easy to install and to use. And the firewall is very effective. It is good for novices if don't need advanced features. But it consumes more system resources, uses a lot of memory and slows down your system a lot.

This product seems to work acceptably, it runs reasonably well compared to other virus suites I've used, and the user interface is straightforward. Coupled with the upgrade rebate, it is a solid buy.
