I placed the order on 9/18 and got a confirmation. Then nothing else comes through until 9/21 when Thomas Kloeffler emails me and says that since Crucial raised their prices this morning (21st, not 18th when I ordered it) that they are not selling it anymore. So they were offering a lie until then? The item is still listed by them here on PriceGrabber with the price they quoted me and failed to fulfill. This is the most unethical bate and switch I have ever seen. I strongly urge you to stay away from a company that offers you a price, enters into a promise with you but then arbitrarily cancels it because its not profitable enough. The funny thing is they are shameless enough to try and push another product after completely screwing you over. They advertise one thing to try and push something else on you later. Retailer Response (23/09/09): Please accept my apology for this unfortunate experience at Safe Harbor. Our goal is to SELL products that meet the needs of our customers, not to cancel orders, and certainly NEVER arbitrarily. This vendor claimed volatility and raised costs AND retail without warning. Also, reliable ETAs had become an issue. All resellers have the option to discontinue a product line at any time. We chose to do that since products in our line are less problematic. Bait and switch tactics are INTENTIONAL and have NEVER been our business model. Thomas’s job is to notify you of changes to your order and then ultimately help you find a deliverable product solution. I received daily emails that kept me up to date on the status of my order, from initial purchase order info, processing info, and finally final product serial number info on date of delivery. There has never been a communication "break-down" of any kind when I order from them. I commend the staff at Safe Harbor for always providing me with excellent customer service whenever I do business with them, and I'll definitely continue to do business with them in the future. |

I placed an order with safeharbor 3-26 and received a confirmation of my order immediately. However, the website failed to mention that they DIDN'T HAVE THE ITEM IN STOCK either before or after the sale. In fact, I heard nothing from them at all. Then 3-30, having heard nothing from safeharbor, I called them up. They said the item would not even reach the warehouse until 4-1 and then wouldn't arrive here until 4-6. When asked to speed the delivery as they hadn't advertised their out-of-stock status on my item, standard practice in such circumstances, they were unwilling to do so to and exhibited very poor customer service skills on the phone to boot. I canceled the order and bought elsewhere. Poor showing guys, if you are going to have on online business its important to keep your customers appraised of order status and accommodations for mistakes in advertising are key to basic customer service. Retailer Response (12/05/09): Our order confirmations (which you said you received immediately) indicate if the item is INSTOCK or BACKORDERED. This is shown under the word \"Status\" immediately to the right of the item name. Please check your order confirmation again, as we agree that customers always want to know the status of their pending order. However, even if an item IS backordered, we never charge your card before we ship. I\'m sorry that your experience with Safe Harbor was NOT as you expected. |

Your order was canceled on the 9th after no reply from you. If you faxed the proof, we did not receive it. |
