Ordered projection TV lamp and housing Sat. 2/13/10 Received on Fri. 2/19/10. Good. Was to ship UPS. Delivered by Fed X. Fragile was not anywhere on box. Box not damaged but lamp housing broken badly. Lite seemed to be good. Time restraint caused me to install lamp into my old housing. I made it work. Had to change power plugs also because 1 of 2 prongs was missing. Lamp would not have worked even if housing not broken. Parts of housing were bent OUTWARD. It looks as though it was packaged in that condition. Also remember bad plug. Housing had sticker voiding warranty. What is warranty when bare bulb is shipped? I have working lamp; thanks to ME, a broken housing that was to be a spare and no warranty. Have written them 2 times and called once. NOT A PEEP. This is fraud. It's not enough for me not to buy from them again. They should not be allowed to stay in business under Advanced Lamps or any name. Too late I read reviews. I'm not 1st to have these problems. After nearly a month of unanswered phone calls and emails, the only way to get my money back was by opening a dispute through PayPal and my credit card. I buy things online all the time, and this was by far the worst experience I've had. |

website says 99% of orders placed before 3pm est ship the same day. That is a lie. I placed order before noon, called back the next day, and was told order would not ship until the following day (ordered on Wed, would not ship till Friday). Unsat. They did say they would refund money...will see how that works. |

(Edited January 20th by void299) The item arrived two days late..the wrong part was shipped. I contacted customer service on 6 different occasions but only got voicemail..left 4 voicemails but did not receive a return call. I emailed the compnay twice but did not get a response. Finally I just shipped the item back and asked for a refund. |

NEVER USES THESE GUYS! I made the mistake of ordering something even after I read the reviews. They tripled charged my account and locked up that money with pending charges. I called and canceled so that they would reverse all charges and they did after 4 days. A few days later I was charged and it put my account in the negative. TRUST ME… pay more it’s worth it! |

This company shipped a lamp that lasted 3 weeks. While I had the lamp at home I fully tested it with the assistance of a Toshiba representative. It failed all testing. I shipped it back and, because they didn't have any lamps in stock I ordered another lamp from another company. I received another lamp in 2 days and the TV worked fine. Advanced Lamps said they tested the lamp and it tested good ... and now they want to charge me 25% restocking fee. The lamp is defective and they are incompetent! Why would I return (at my expense) the lamp if it were any good??? |

Ordered bulb for Sony TV on 12/10. Credit card was charged that day. At 2pm on 12/11 I received an email stating the bulb was backordered and would be sent out following Wed (12/16) or Thur (12/17). Called on 12/17 and was told the bulb "was held up in customs" and they were awaiting release. Called on 12/27 and was told they still had not received the bulb. When I mentioned my conversation on 12/17 I was told "I don't care what you were told, I'm telling you what the shipping manager told me" Was told they were expecting to receive the bulb on 1/4 and they would ship out same day. 1/4 has come and gone with no update. I will never purchase from this company again and I will ensure that none of my friends or family does either. |

I ordered the Yamaha Reciever and the order was processed. Five days later I received a refund with no eplaination of why my Yamaha Receiver was not shipping. Lamp could have least explained or given me some alternatives. Poor business practices for sure. |

1st shipment arrived broken, 2nd arrived broken, 3rd was refused by me, due to lack of response from customer service. Don't buy from this place unless you want to deal with ignorant customer service.I ordered on 10/26 and finally on 12/17 I'm getting a refund for a 2 month headache. And to top it off they only refunded price of bulb not shipping I paid for. When it was there fault in the first place for hiring idiots in there shipping department. I will never buy from them again. Instead I bought from Electrified Discounters. they have smarter people working for them. And no headache |

The projector bulb I ordered exploded in my projector after 1 minute of use. I have sent two emails requesting a return authorization according to the return policy on Advanced Lamps website, but I have not gotten any response. |

I placed my order and then in 7 days, without notification or tracking, the wrong lamp arrived. It took 3 days before I could get their customer service on the phone and my emails went unanswered. Email contact is non-existent. Their customer service is horrible. I returned the wrong lamp to them immediately. After 2 weeks of telling me during one of my many calls to them that my correct lamp will ship "today", I managed to talk to someone who was somewhat courteous and was able to give me a refund. Avoid this business. In the end I was made whole with a refund, but only after many hours of the runaround. They are not very professional in my opinion. Again . . . AVOID ADVANCED LAMPS, LLC. |

ordered a bulb that lasted 2 mo. after jumping through their hoops and calling contiuously for 1 mo. recieved my replacement. It lasted less than 4 hours. Sent it back for replacement again ( they refused to refund my money) Now 2 mo later they say they have shipped my replacement again. what a scam!! |

(Edited September 17th by jalangston) I purchased a replacement projector lamp. Lamp would not come on after just a few weeks. They sent me another one after I paid to return the first defective lamp. Second lamp did the same thing. Returned at there cost this time and they talked me into getting a 3rd lamp from them. Same result. This whole process took 6 months and 2 weeks. They will not exchange the lamp or credit me for an OEM one because it is over 6 months from day of purchase, not from previous received lamp. So, they have my $211.00 and I have there busted projector lamp. They did offer to take half off of the new OEM lamp. Still not satisfied. |

Ordered a projector lamp that was defective. Lasted all of 1 Hour. Then I had to pay to ship it back and wait a week for them to "test" it to ensure it was defective. I asked for an exchange and was told that they were out of stock and had to wait for a new order that would be 1-2 weeks. I call 2 weeks later and them am told it will be 3 weeks. So they had my money for over a month, I had to pay for shipping to return their defective product back and they apparently raised the price on their lamp and reduced the warranty period in half. This company strung me along for a month when they could have just immediately sent me a replacement lamp. DON'T BUY FROM HERE. The "SAVINGS" aren't worth the headaches. |

The purchase of the lamp was actually a fairly positive experience. However, apparently their lamps are inferior quality. My previous lamp lasted for over 4 years and their lamp lasted only two months before exploding. To top it off, their return policy is set-up to make you run around in circles (in an apparent attempt to get you not to return their defective products) and that is after you can finally get in touch with their returns person. |

Because I ordered on a Saturday, there was a delay until Monday before extra-cost 2-day air shipping was initiated. After than, everything went just fine. My E-mailed questions were only partially answered at first, but after a follow up e-mail they did all get answered. |

Thanks for the great shipping and the extra service in helping me figure out which bulb I needed this time. All products work fine and were received in acceptable time. We weren't in a hurry since we were stocking for future use so ground was fine. I think we are set for the upcoming rush on bulbs but might be back for some of your non-bulb inventory. Oh, by the way, this is our 4th order and second review. Just have to commend good work these days. thanks |

I needed a replacement lamp for my InFocus X1. The first lamp I received from Advanced Lamps lasted less than one hour. They immediately processed an exchange - I had to send the defective lamp back, but they sent a replacement before they received the return. The new replacement is working great! Great service, would buy again. |

I ordered two NEC projector lamps. First, the lamps came in a beat up Johnson & Johnson box. The first bulb we installed was not bright at all and you can barely see the screen. The second bulb we installed appeared to much better than the first until an hour later when the bulb exploded and smoke was coming out the projector. The glass completely shattered. So two bulbs ordered, two bulbs defective. Now I have to deal with trying to get refunded. Horrible experience, I will never use them again. |
