Resumen: This camera has been a great buy for its price. Compared to other similar cameras, this product seems to provide the best value for the money spent. I'm really enjoying using the camera so far. This camera is much smaller in size and also has a better optical zoom compared to the previous digital camera that I had. Though a set of batteries lasted for couple of trips, I would have preferred if Sony had provided with rechargeable battery accessories along with the camera. Pictures taken in this camera (both indoors and outdoors) have come out sharp and colorful. Overall, I love this camera and would highly recommend to anybody else who wants a decent digital camera for a low price.

Resumen: It will be very difficult to match this 4.0MP digital camera for its price and performance. I am very pleased with its function and ease of operation. The Carl Zeiss lens and number of pixels combine for great pictures even when printed on ordinary paper. Pictures come out crisp and color precise. Its ability to take short video clips is a great plus. Another important feature is its 32MB internal memory, I was able to point and shoot without a need for a memory card. I chose this camera primarily for its compact size and because of Sony's brand reputation. It's slim pocket size makes it very handy, and Sony quality has always been awesome. Although I would've preferred that it came with a rechargeable battery, one alkaline battery lasted for over 100 pictures. This camera has travelled with me from the Midwest to the west coast without any problems. I highly recommend this compact digital camera for travel and home use.

Resumen: Really a great little camera. Compact size, uses AA batteries that are inexpensive, has logical menus and controls. Picture quality is great. Does great 8 X 10 enlargements. You will definitely be happy with this purchase.

Resumen: This camera is awesome!! The quality of the pictures are exellent, The Carl Zeiss lens and the feauters also work great. I took this camera on a trip last week and i captured more than 130 pictures with just using alkaline batteries so it has a really good battery life.

Resumen: This is my first sony cybershot. I've had several digital cameras before and I can say that the cybershot DSC-S40 compares well with other mid-range cameras in terms of image quality and ease of use. One advice I'd give is to get a bigger memory stick. The 32mb stick fills up quickly, especially with high resolution images. Get rechargeable batteries too. The camera drains batteries like water!

Resumen: Overall it is a camera with very good functions, it has 32mb even without a memory stick, which is a plus, and I bought it because it can connect to my sony mp3 player and I can transfer pictures, between the mp3 player and this cammera, it also has a good lens, and I like how it comes out, and back in, and the simple use of a nob that switches between the 3 functions, of taking a picture, viewing the pictures that you have already taken and, taking a video, so the use of this camera is very simple and quick.

Resumen: 2005-07-18 12:38:03 Overall I am very pleased with the cost and performance of this camera. I have owned several models of Sony DSC. The DSC-S40 is a nice point-and-shoot camera. It lacks the mode knob other models (P10, P93) have. Instead, it has a slider on the LCD side with 3 options (playback, picture, video). The design is very efficient, though some may find the LCD small. I am surprised at how small the lens is. The pixel size is also on the small side, with the current norm being 5MP and the emergence of 7MP models.
If 4.0MP works for you, then I would definitely recommend the S40.

Resumen: Hi ... I've been using this camera for over a year now .. and it hasn't given me any problems yet . Its a nice camera offering 4 MP resolution, its sleek and easy to use. The only problem I've observed is, picture quality is not very impressive when the light is weak ... but then no point n shoot camera gives u good quality photos in dim light... u need a SLR for that Its a gr8 value for money ... and defenitely worth a buy

Resumen: this is my first digicam...i think i am going to sell this camera and buy another brand...for one, the memory stick is too expensive, and i hope it accepts other memory stick... it has no macro shot unlike other competitive digicam... when you take objects in motion, it will result to a blur unlike other leading digicam...
