Puntos Débiles: expensive, offers 3 years but in real you just gain two more years of protection

Resumen: After buying my new macbook I wasn't sure if I should also get the "Apple Care protection plan" so I asked friends what to do (who own Apple Products and the Protection Plans as well) and they recommend me to buy one. So I compared prices and of course you can get the AppleCare Protection Plan from a big onlinestore to a good condition... Ordered, arrived some days later and then I registered online on apple.com - easy!!! Just three days later my confirmation arrived via mail. Excellent!

Apple Care Protection for MacBook/ MA519LLA

Puntos Fuertes: Protection on A-L-L components of MacBook (display, keyboard, system, software, etc...)

Puntos Débiles: none

Resumen: I am soo happy. I knew that this would be a wise investment for me. AppleCare Protection Plan extends my computer's 90 days complimentary support and one-year warranty to up to three years. No sweat, no worry! I compared price here (at Price Grabber.com), so ended up paying less than I have to. Registration is a breeze at Apple.com or calling 1-800-MY-APPLE.

Heavily recommended for MacBook owner!

PS: Make sure you have the right Plan for the right notebook!

Puntos Débiles: Requires Registration

Resumen: This is the extended warranty for a MacBook from Apple. It extends your coverage to 3 years for both the service and telephone support. Apple also includes TechTool Deluxe diagnostic software in the box.

You must register online for the extended warranty to go into effect.

Beware: The level of protection is not equal

Puntos Fuertes: Great warranty and plan if you live/work near a certified provider or technician.

Puntos Débiles: Apple Service will not accept desktop systems or towers for warranty work. So if you don't have a provider nearby, you will have to travel.

Resumen: I am an Apple fan, but my experience with AppleCare support has been nothing but a time-consuming runaround. As I mentioned above, it is probably great if you have providers near by, and if you don't have a desktop system. But I am guessing we are all paying the same $ amount, I would think that a company like Apple would have equal access to service, or at least reasonable options.

Probably not a good deal for people in rural areas or that buy desktop systems.
