Resumen: First, high resolution makes your display look TREMENDOUSLY better, particularly text! Knowing this, when my old 19" curved-screen CRT went out I had the following requirements:

The downside of having two monitors:

``1) There is the casing which separates the two screens - this model has 1.75" of casing which separates the viewable areas by about 3.5". I have found that this doesn't bother me at all, since Windows allows you to maximize a program window on each monitor. I never find myself trying to span both monitors with a single program.

``2) Color doesn't match, even with two monitors of the same model. After installation I spent over an hour of fooling with the monitor color/temperature settings. I resolved myself to the fact that I just can not make the two monitors look identical in color. After several weeks of use I have discovered that this is a very minor issue. The monitors *are* very similar, and the only time I notice is when I move a window from one monitor to the other.

``3) Desk space. These two monitors take up about 36" (wide) by 10" (deep) of my actual desk space - and quite a bit of the monitor extends off the back of my desk. On the other hand, the fronts of these monitors are about 17" from the front of my desk, and I don't really *want* them any farther from me than that.

Conclusion: unless deskspace is at a premium and money is no object, get two of these monitors!!!
